The light blue cabin was that of Donnie and Polly Davis (Houston Salter’s sister) with Staton Moore camp in background and Guthrie camp in distance.
SYG: So we built ours there on the westward end of Bald Hill Bay. At that time Bill Moore had one by Sam Windsor’s Lump. That’s where Bill Moore’s camp was, just about right here.
CM: It’s real interesting: on this map it says, “Sam Winter Lump.” That’s how messed up it can get.
SYG: We built ours and then Holly and Don Davis already had one down here, Murlie Houston had one there. Staton’s was here. And then people started building
and it all built up. (Susanne Guthrie CALO interview)
