The “Lewis Brother’s Camp”
Sitting alongside the Morton Davis camp, SEAGIRT. the Lewis’ shared the peir and dock until the dock was moved further southwest.
Described by many as a simple camp, there was a stove, sink, bunks, table and a couple chairs Externally, the camp resembled a “net house” positioned on the pier.
Camp #14 on Johnson’s Bay of Shackleford Banks (1970s) was documented as owned by Delmas Lewis of Bettie, N.C. and Billy Davis of Bettie, NC- per NPS survey. (I have no documentation that this was the same individual ).

James Delmas Lewis (in 193) lived in Marshallberg based on letterhead address used by NPS.
