Title
In 1946, the Cedar Banks Club sold to the Core Banks Rod and Club, inc. (“for $100”) , the clubhouse and 7.4 acres. The Geigers, prior owners, apparently found the distance and expense impractical.

Handwritten list of members as they were being assembled. There were 35 members initially.
March 4th, 1946, the Core Banks Gun and Rod Club, Inc. was established –with C. Mitchell, A. K. Barrus, Oscar Greene, F. E. Wallace and R. A. Whitaker representing the membership on documents.
Land purchase (initial) is noted to be–$9,000.
An additional 148 acres was purchased from the Noe estate during the first year.

President, Harvey C. Hines, Jr., arranged with the Beaufort Airport (9-18-48) for flights to the club for members “in a hurry” or whose needs were not met by twice daily boat shuttles during hunting season and “on call” otherwise.——Ocean View Airways, Twin City Airport, Beaufort—agreed to $5 one way, $10 round trip–per hunter—adjusted later to $7.50 round trip-$4 one way—for two passengers plus pilot.
